World’s Largest Disc Golf Expo
The World’s Largest Disc Golf Expo to Take Place During the 2025 World Championships in Finland!
Meresmaa adds. “The 2025 Disc Golf World Championships will be the biggest disc golf event in history, and that excitement is reflected in the strong interest from potential partners.”
The Expo will take place at Nokia Ice Hall from Saturday to Sunday, August 2–3, and is expected to welcome over 10,000 visitors throughout the weekend. Entry is free.
Kona Montgomery joins Innova
Just last week Kona and Dynamic Discs announced they were parting ways and this week she is joining Innova. PS! Kona’s father Jeff Panis is the marketing director of Innova. So, no surprises there.
Kona on her social media account: “The last few years have pushed me in new ways, both on and off the course. But through it all, I’ve learned so much and grown even more. I feel a need to lean into the experiences that have brought me joy. Now, I’m turning a new page, feeling excited and confident—really thinking about where I belong and what’s next for me.”
Ricky Wysocki joins Team Discraft!
Following the shocking turn of events in which Ricky Wysocki and Kona Montgomery “mutually” parted ways with Dynamic Discs (more like their contracts were terminated early due to not being profitable), Wysocki has signed a three-year contract with Team Discraft!
Discraft’s Elite Team now has a total of 13 high-caliber players. For me personally, this player movement won’t make me buy or throw Discraft any more, and it makes me wonder how it will affect Discraft’s Elite Team Tour Series/Signature Series disc sales in general.
As we know, many pros earn extra commission from each disc/product sold. I’m betting there’s a lot more cannibalization rather than market share growth. For example, Dickerson, Hammes, and Aderhold will likely sell a few thousand fewer discs due to Wysocki being on the same team. Don’t you think?
MVP/Streamline Discs Boost is now PDGA approved!
People are saying it’s much like a Discmania PD, which has a flight rating of 10/4/0/3.
Rebecca Cox and Jordan Lynds 1000+ rated rounds

Heidi Laine joins Westside Discs
964-rated Finnish FPO player Heidi Laine joins Westside Discs. Laine finished 15th in the 2024 DGPT World Standings and did not miss a top-10 finish in the 2024 Majors!

Here are 3 simple ways to determine that:
1. Check the manufacturer’s flight ratings.
2. Throw the disc!

2025 DGPT season’s first event: Discraft Supreme Flight Open, Brooksville, FL, USA. From 28th February to 2nd March, 2025!
2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour Schedule
The 2025 season will feature a total of 25 events, including four Majors for both MPO and FPO divisions. SEVEN events will be held in Europe, including TWO Majors!
