Daylight is oftentimes scarce in our busy lives, but what if you really want to play disc golf after the lights go out? If you want to prolong your game time, it’s time to pick up some proper glow discs. It’s glow time! But which ones should you choose? Which manufacturer has the longest lasting and brightest glow discs on the market?!
Here in Estonia, where I live, we only get around 6-9 hours of daylight during wintertime. If I want to play after working hours, my only options are to play glow disc golf or wait until the weekend to play during the day, but come on, I want to play now! So, glow disc golf it is!

I usually play around 100 glow rounds a year. Yes, you read that correctly, 100 glow rounds a year! I told you, daylight here in Estonia is scarce during wintertime and colder temperatures alongside a thick snow blanket don’t stop me from playing. On the contrary, I often play only glow rounds in winter because of the deep snow, since finding glow discs in the dark buried beneath the snow is actually way easier than during the daytime. Because the glow plastic is so bright, they can shine through a FOOT of snow!

Personally, I’ve been using MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic discs for years now and they work like a charm. MVP’s Eclipse 2.0 plastic is bright, long-lasting glow plastic that is the best on the market. But, to be fair, other manufacturers have been catching up!
THE BEST OF THE BEST glow in the dark discs:
The best on the market and my personal favorites: MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic discs
Without a sliver of doubt, MVP Disc Sports has the BEST disc golf glow plastic on the market! The MVP Eclipse 2.0 glow plastic. And the best part? They’re widely available in almost every brick-and-mortar store and disc golf e-shop!
Ever since I found out about Eclipse 2.0 glow plastic, I’ve been only using their glow discs during my glow rounds. My favorite glow putter is the Proxy, favorite midrange is the Hex, Insanity and Resistor in the fairway slot and Wave in the distance driver seat. And to be fair, you really don’t even need that many glow discs to play glow rounds, you only need ONE!
Remember, the worst part of playing glow rounds is searching for discs after the glow has faded. Eliminate that problem by buying the brightest, longest-lasting glow discs available! Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Second best glow plastic on the market: Kastaplast K1 Glow
KASTAPLAST – If you’re not a fan of MVP, you can always rely on the second-best glow disc manufacturer on the market, a.k.a. Kastaplast. In addition, Kastaplast discs, such as the infamous Berg, are widely available in most of the stores.
About 6-7 years ago, I started out with Kastaplast K1 Glow plastic as my go-to for glow discs way back in 2018-2019. To this day, I still own and sometimes let my buddies use the Reko, Kaxe, Stål, and Grym X in K1 glow plastic during glow rounds.

Honorable mentions:
– Innova Proto Glow, much brighter and longer lasting glow plastic from Innova compared to their old glow plastic. Some glow disc golf fans have even stated that these new Innova Proto Glow discs are as bright and their glow lasts as long as the MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic. Furthermore, they are available in several of their most popular mold!
Check out the selection here on Infinite Disc.
– Discraft Seasonal Glo plastic, new glow plastic from Discraft. Some users have stated it’s almost as bright as the MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic and lasts for a long time as well.

Here’s a great video from TK Disc Golf, where he is comparing MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic to the new Discraft Mega Glo plastic:
Short summary: MVP’s Eclipse 2.0 glow plastic has been the king of glow for several years, but Discraft’s new Mega Glo plastic is now right on its heels in both brightness and glow duration.
