Disc Golf popularity has skyrocketed in Norway!

According to the latest UDisc stats the number of rounds played by Norwegians has nearly doubled since the pandemic ended as they recorded 2,154,431 rounds played in 2025 alone! Norway has around 850 courses and around 120,000 players used UDisc in 2025.

Exponential growth in rounds played & unique users:

In 2019 UDisc recorded 144,000 rounds played by Norwegians. By 2025 that number had grown to 2.15 million rounds, the highest ever. That represents 15X growth in rounds played from 2019 to 2025.

Unique UDisc users in Norway increased from 6,629 in 2019 to 120,395 in 2025, an 18X increase. And these figures only reflect UDisc data. They do not include rounds recorded on other scorekeeping apps such as Metrix, Tjing, Upsi and others.

Just for comparison how much Norwegians play disc golf:

In 2024, UDisc recorded a total of 20.1 million rounds played, Norwegians played 1.83 million of those rounds! That’s roughly 9.1% of total rounds played by Norwegian UDisc users.

Most popular courses in Norway in 2025:

1. Ekeberg – 45,185 rounds recorded;

2. Jessheim – 36,269;

3. Lynghaugparken – 28,971.

1021 – Øyvind Jarnes – Highest-rated Norwegian MPO player at the end of 2025.

963 – Anniken Kristiansen Steen – Highest-rated Norwegian FPO player at the end of 2025.

$18,717 – Anniken Kristiansen Steen – Most earned tournament prize money in 2025 by a Norwegian FPO player.

Disc Golf Tourism to Norway:

Most of the disc golf tourists came from neighbouring countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Germany, but also from the USA, Canada and the UK.

Disc golf tourism is a huge untapped market, a single disc golf course can bring in MILLIONS of euros/dollars to the local community!
