Disc Golf popularity has skyrocketed in Sweden!

According to the latest UDisc stats, the number of rounds played by Swedish players has increased sevenfold since 2019 and the growth hasn’t slowed even after the end of the pandemic. Sweden now has around 830 courses and roughly 74,000 unique players used UDisc in 2025, recording an impressive 1,441,650 rounds.

Growth in rounds played & unique disc golf players:

Swedes logged around 205,000 rounds on UDisc in 2019, a figure that has climbed to 1.441 million in 2025, a massive sevenfold increase. The data also shows that growth did not stall after the pandemic. During that period, rounds played averaged about 1 million before rising to 1.3 million in 2024 and reaching 1.441 million in 2025.

The number of unique players keeping score on UDisc has also jumped from 8,355 in 2019 to 73,970 in 2025, a staggering 8.8X increase in unique players using the UDisc app.

Most popular courses in Sweden in 2025:

1. Tyresö Discgolfbana – 18,629 rounds played;

2. I20 Discgolf – 17,347;

3. Slottsskogen – 16,962.

1026 – Hjalmar Fredriksson – Highest-rated Swedish MPO player at the end of 2025.

945 – Julia Fors – Highest-rated Swedish FPO player at the end of 2025.

$7,208 – Julia Fors – Most earned tournament prize money in 2025 by Swedish FPO player.

Disc Golf Tourism to Sweden:

Most of the disc golf tourists came from neighbouring countries such as Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany. A couple of hundred players even visited from the USA.

Disc golf tourism is a huge untapped market, a single disc golf course can bring in MILLIONS of euros/dollars to the local community!
