Jyly putting game, originally invented by Markus Lindqvist, is my favorite and probably one of the best and easiest ways to practice putting in disc golf.
The game is very easy to set up as it only requires a disc golf basket and a few markers or items to be placed to a certain distance. Jyly putting game can be played both outdoors & indoors with friends or solo.
The original Jyly putting game website is http://jyly.altervista.org/, but I recommend using this website to track the scores – https://ez3-putting.web.app/
On the EZ3 website you can even create an account and see your progress over time + detailed statistics of every game and overall statistics.
The Jyly putting game is very simple and easy to keep track of + the websites are free to use! There are no ads or micropayments.
How to play the Jyly putting game?
1. Place your markers
Place markers to 5m, 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m and 10m from the basket.
Or U.S metric system: 16.4 feet, 19.7′, 23′, 26.4′, 29.5′ and 32.8′ accordingly.
2. Start of the Game
Ideally every player needs to have 5 putters, but if you don’t have 5 of them, you will have to go back and forth a few extra times.
Start the Jyly putting game application or open it via a web browser – https://ez3-putting.web.app/, add players and start the game. The application shows you the distance from where to throw and whose turn it is. Then just type in the scores and putt for 20 rounds (100 putts per game).
There’s also the “Long mode”, it works the same way, but the distances are greater, spanning from 10m to 15m.
