đŸ˜± The 2024 DGPT has come to an END!

Hello there! TÔnis AKA Disc Golf Fanatic here with another insight into the disc golf world.

Let’s get right into it!

Now what?!

2025 DGPT season kickoff:

130 DAYS! (4 months + 7 days)

2025 DGPT season’s first event: Florida Open, Brooksville, FL, USA. From 28th February to 2nd March, 2025!

2025 is the 10th DGPT season.

Quick 2024 DGPT Championship recap:

Missy Gannon wins her THIRD DGPT Championship & cashes in a $35,000 paycheck! đŸ€‘đŸ€‘đŸ€‘ Missy has now won a total of $119,000 from four DGPT Championships!

Tattar & Scoggins cashed in $16,000 for tied for 2nd place.
Salonen $9,000.

The MPO final round was both brutal and thrilling at the same time! Gannon Buhr played lights out, while Wysocki completely choked under pressure.

Note: Wysocki was leading the tournament after round 3 with 6 strokes to spare to Gannon Buhr!

The TWO BEST MPO disc golfers went back and forth til the very end during the final round, totaling a whopping 13 stroke swings per 18 holes!

13 stroke swings per 18 holes!

Buhr started the final round with 4 birdies in the first 5 holes, while Wysocki carded only a single birdie. VoilĂ ! The gap was down to 3 strokes with 13 holes left to play.

And the rest is history.

This one’s going to sting Wysocki for a while. It’s one thing to lose a tournament when you’re leading by one or two shots heading into the final round, but with a 6-stroke lead—oof! With this win, Gannon Buhr also tied for the biggest comeback in DGPT history.

Buhr’s 2024 Season – The Greatest Season Ever?!

There’s a lot of chatter among disc golf fans. Some are claiming that Gannon’s 2024 season is the greatest ever played by a disc golfer, while others argue that McBeth’s 2015 and 2019 seasons, Tattar’s 2023 season, or even Climo’s 1995 run were better.

Here are a few stats for you to consider about all of those seasons. You decide which was the best.

Depth of field 2015 vs 2024. It’s a fact that the players are better than ever and the courses are harder than before.

PS! Climo 1995 run was insane, The Champ had an average finish of 1.12, won 23 out of 26 events.

Pretty much similar thing with McBeth back in 2015, where he averaged 1.34 finish and won 18 events out of 24.

Hundreds of disc golfers in Estonia played disc golf on a SHIP!

For the second time, disc golfers in Estonia played disc golf on the Tallink MS Romantika cruise ferry!

There were around 180 competitors in total. The course featured multiple par 3s, but mainly putting holes spread throughout the ship, including 7 baskets on the very top floor.

A total of 53 unique holes were set up on the ship, and we played two rounds.

On top of that, I managed to snag 3rd place in MPO!
