Hello there! TÔnis AKA Disc Golf Fanatic here with another insight into the disc golf world.
Letâs get right into it!
Now that weâre back to Standard Time and have reversed Daylight Saving Time, darkness comes extra early. Here in Estonia, the sun already sets between 4 and 5 PM, and Iâm sure itâs getting dark early wherever you are tooâŠ
Which means one thing!
ITâS GLOW TIME!
Innova just came out with their new and shiny Proto Glow Champion plastic which glows so much more than their previous glow-in-the-dark plastic! Available now in several of their most popular drivers.
In addition to Innova, the 2nd biggest manufacturer on the disc golf market released their new glow discs as well. Of course, I am talking about Discraft âseasonal gloâ plastic.
But if youâre looking for the best of the best, look no further! Without a sliver of doubt, the BEST disc golf glow plastic on the market is the MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic. It has an insanely bright and long-lasting glow, with a huge selection available.
Personally, I mainly use the Axiom Insanity, MVP Reactor, Axiom Hex, Axiom Proxy, and MVP Resistor. Sometimes I even bring out the MVP Wave if I need extra distance, but usually, I leave it at home.Stock Eclipse 2.0 Axiom Hex & 2023 Halloween Lizottlâ Hexes.
And if youâre not a fan of MVP, you can always rely on the second-best glow disc manufacturer on the market, a.k.a. Kastaplast. About 5â6 years ago, I started out with Kastaplast K1 Glow plastic as my go-to for glow discs; to this day, I still own the Reko, Kaxe, StĂ„l, and Grym X. However, as MVP has developed into such a powerhouse and their discs are widely available, I now prefer the MVP Eclipse 2.0 plastic instead.
One of the Worldâs First Disc Golf Simulators Opens in Finland!
The disc golf simulator operates with advanced TechDisc smart-chip technology, which accurately analyzes playersâ throws and projects the results onto a 3x5m screen. Players can monitor their throw speed, spin rate, nose angle, and flight path, providing valuable feedback for improving their throwing technique. In addition to the simulator, the training center offers versatile practice facilities, including movable putting baskets and ample space for focused putting practice.

PDGA Rule Changes For The 2025 Disc Golf Season
Probably the biggest and most confusing change to the rules is the 2.01 Division Types edit, where the PDGA decided to rename FPO from ‘Female Pro Open’ to ‘Women’s Pro Open.’ The same applies to other female divisions; for example, FA1 will now be ‘Women’s Amateur 1’ while retaining the abbreviation FA1.

There were a plethora of smaller changes, but nothing major, the boys at Disc Golf World go over the changes in the rules, listen here:
MVP vs Essential Discs “Balance” drama
Here’s a post from Essential Discs about the topic.
“It is unfortunate about the Balance being approved for a second company by the PDGA this year.” – Essential Discs.
TL;DR – MVP just got their disc named Balance PDGA approved, but Essential Discs already has a disc named Balance… Lawyers are involved & we’ll see what’s going to happen.
Speaking of MVP discsâŠ
